Bakery: Online Store for a Neighbourhood Bakery

A demo store for a fictional Tbilisi bakery, with a menu, product pages, cart, customer accounts and order history. We built it to show how we design and build online stores.

Brand (fictional): BakeryType of work: Demo online store

Demo project: the brand, data and orders are fictional. We built it to show our work; it is not a client commission.

Challenge

Show a small-business store from start to finish without using a real client's data: a menu people enjoy browsing, a short path to an order and an account that keeps the order history.

Approach

A bold, playful visual style with layouts designed for phones first and tested down to 360 px wide (Galaxy S23). Pages are prerendered so they open quickly. The server recalculates every price, and accounts follow OWASP practice: hashed passwords, secure sessions and limits on repeated attempts.

Deliverables

  • Logo, colours and type for the brand
  • Bilingual site in English and Georgian
  • Menu, product pages and quick add to cart
  • Cart and checkout for pickup or delivery
  • Sign-up, sign-in and a profile with order history
  • Accessibility checks against WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Security headers, hashed passwords and rate limits

Outcome

A working demo anyone can try: browse the menu, place a test order and find it in the profile. The brand, photos and prices are illustrative, and no order is baked or delivered.
